Fletcher Longmore - Journey & Story

Fletcher Longmore

My name is Fletch and I’m from Wagga Wagga in NSW. I was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when I was 5 years old. I’m 20 years old now!

I’m currently attending Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. I’m studying a Bachelor of Creative Industries Design and Visual Arts / Interdisciplinary Innovation, and I will complete my studies in 2022.

Some of the things I like to do in my spare time is to look at new and excusive Marvel, Star Wars and Godzilla collectibles, reading comics, playing video games, drawing, painting miniatures called Warhammer, puzzles and board games.

I’m good at playing video games and completing jigsaw puzzles. I have a fun sense of humour and have a great outlook on life.

It’s important to be positive when you’re living with DMD because being negative doesn’t help anyone, including yourself. Keep trying and find a way to do what you want to do. There are always people who will help you find a way to achieve your goals, even if you have to modify them a bit.
